I thought I knew what I wanted to do for my photo series, but once it was time to piece it all together I realized I didn't like my original idea. As I looked long and hard at the photos I did have, my mind was made up and I knew which pieces described true feelings. In the end, I am happy with the result, but know I am more aware of which pieces would have enhanced the series and I would be able to do a better job after this experience.
The first photo on the upper left describes a feeling everyone has felt before- exhaustion, mixed with deep thought, and slight bitterness. Then it slowly changes into something established in the picture shown in the upper right- exhaustion, deep thought, and a realization as well as understanding for what I am feeling. The picture on the bottom left is my favorite, the color appears gritty but the simplicity of it comes off in my opinion as something beautiful. It isn't just a picture; it becomes personalized as it gives detail to the scar next to my eye. This is me, looking up at the top two picture and noticing that isn't how i want to feel, and then it concludes with the last picture. Still looking in the past, but with a slightly wise smile implicating understanding and contentment. A drastic change from the very first picture, and an emotional process many can relate to.
I like these photo series because the hair and background color go together. This is wonderful :P
